Multiple-model answers

Combine Multiple AI Answers with Mind/Meld

Mind/Meld uses several independent AI tracks when one answer is not enough. An assessor decides whether the prompt benefits from multiple perspectives. When it does, three tracks answer in parallel and a synthesizer combines their strongest ideas into one response.

The synthesized answer stays primary while the independent tracks remain available below it.

Spend more calls only when the prompt earns them

Straightforward questions do not need a panel of models. The assessor can answer those directly with one call. Harder prompts can benefit from different assumptions, priorities, or approaches, so Mind/Meld sends them to three independent tracks.

The synthesizer reads the tracks and produces the answer you see first. The source tracks stay collapsed underneath so you can inspect disagreements or useful ideas that did not make the final response.

  1. 1Turn on Mind/Meld in Advanced Features.
  2. 2Choose the assessor, three track models, and synthesizer, or use the current chat model.
  3. 3Send a prompt involving consequential tradeoffs, strategy, or competing explanations.
  4. 4Read the synthesis first, then expand the tracks to audit how it was built.

Keep model choice explicit

Cumbersome does not silently route the request to an unnamed model. You choose every role. You can keep one model for all five calls or deliberately mix providers to reduce correlated blind spots.

Three tracks stream in parallel when the assessor decides they would help.
Use the current chat model or choose a different provider and model for each role.

What to know before you use it

  • A synthesized answer uses five AI calls when Mind/Meld engages and can consume more than five times the tokens of a normal response.
  • Agreement among models is useful context, not proof. Several models can repeat the same bad assumption.
  • Different providers have different prices, limits, and retention policies for each call.
